Bourbon Tasting: Nothing to see but Old Forester here! We are hitting all the high notes with our final dinner of the year with Fred. We will begin with the 2022 Birthday Bourbon released just a few weeks ago. Then we will compare all three batches of the Old Forester 150th Anniversary. And to finish the evening, we will enjoy a vintage 1960s Old Forester. Five fantastic 3/4 ounce pours to get you ready for Thanksgiving!
Five-Course Dinner Menu:
- Hawaiian Kampachi Sashimi - Bourbon / Banana Miso-Lime-Smoked Sesame
- Baby Arugula / Lobster / Beluga Lentil / Garlic / Meyer Lemon
- Smoked Bacon Wrapped Roasted Quail - Fresh Goat Cheese / Golden Raisin / 8 year balsamic / Brussels Sprout Slaw
- Charred Iberico Presa - Crispy Prosciutto / Fennel Relish / "Apple Butter” / Creamy Polenta
- Huckleberry / Mascarpone Tart - Lavender Syrup
The evening will feature informative discussions led by Fred based on his selection process combined with detailed distillery backgrounds and pairing notes. Attendees can expect to enjoy rare, vintage, and highly allocated bourbons or a pairing of fine wines.
